Bridge the Gap Basketball Membership

Terms & Conditions of Membership

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all members of Bridge the Gap Basketball Membership (“the Membership”). By applying for, purchasing, or using the Membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.


1. Definitions

  • “Bridge the Gap” / “We” / “Us” refers to Bridge the Gap Basketball, operated by The Maitland Group Limited.

  • “Member” / “You” refers to the individual named on the Membership.

  • “Facilities” refers to the basketball court(s), weight room, and any associated spaces made available to Members.

  • “Membership” refers to the agreed monthly or annual access plan purchased by the Member.


2. Eligibility & Membership Access

2.1 Membership is available to individuals aged 16 years and over. Members under 18 must have parental or guardian consent prior to activation.

2.2 Membership is personal and non-transferable. Sharing access, key fobs, codes, or allowing non-members to use the Facilities under your Membership is strictly prohibited.

2.3 Bridge the Gap reserves the right to refuse or revoke Membership at its discretion where behaviour, conduct, or misuse of Facilities breaches these Terms.


3. Membership Fees & Payment Schedule

3.1 Monthly Memberships

  • Monthly Membership fees are payable in advance on the 1st day of each calendar month.

  • Payments are collected via automated direct debit or recurring card payment.

  • If a Member joins part-way through a month, a pro-rated fee may be charged for the first month.

3.2 Annual Memberships

  • Annual Memberships are payable in full upfront.

  • Annual Memberships run for one calendar year from the start date stated at purchase.

  • Annual Memberships may automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with Section 5.

3.3 Failed Payments

  • If a payment fails, Bridge the Gap reserves the right to:

    • Suspend Membership access until payment is brought up to date.

    • Reattempt collection.

    • Terminate Membership where payments remain outstanding.

No refunds will be issued for missed sessions or suspended access resulting from non-payment.


4. Use of Facilities

4.1 Membership provides access to designated basketball and training spaces during published Member hours only.

4.2 Access is subject to:

  • Capacity limits

  • Health & safety requirements

  • Scheduled maintenance

  • Pre-booked events, exclusive programming or Public holidays

4.3 Members must:

  • Wear appropriate sports footwear and attire

  • Use equipment as intended

  • Return equipment after use

  • Follow staff instructions at all times

4.4 Bridge the Gap reserves the right to amend opening times, access schedules, or facility availability where operationally necessary.


5. Cancellation & Notice Period

5.1 Monthly Membership Cancellation

  • Monthly memberships renew every month on the member’s agreed billing date. Cancellation requests must be received at least 5 calendar days before the next payment date. Requests received after this time may result in one final payment being collected.

5.2 Annual Membership Cancellation

  • Annual Memberships are non-refundable once activated.

  • No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for unused time, except where required by law.

5.3 How to Cancel

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@coachmaitland.com.

  • Verbal or informal requests will not be accepted.


6. Freezes, Pauses & Refunds

6.1 Memberships cannot be paused or frozen except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. long-term injury), at the sole discretion of Bridge the Gap.

6.2 Refunds are not provided for:

  • Illness or injury

  • Holidays or travel

  • Work or education commitments

  • Facility closures due to force majeure


7. Conduct, Behaviour & Safeguarding

7.1 Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and safe manner.

7.2 The following will not be tolerated:

  • Aggressive or abusive behaviour

  • Discrimination or harassment of any kind

  • Damage to facilities or equipment

  • Unsafe training practices

7.3 Bridge the Gap reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate Membership without refund where behaviour places others, staff, or the facility at risk.


8. Health, Safety & Liability

8.1 Members train at their own risk.

8.2 By joining, you confirm that:

  • You are medically fit to participate in physical activity

  • You understand the risks associated with basketball and training environments

8.3 Bridge the Gap accepts no liability for:

  • Personal injury (except where caused by negligence)

  • Loss or damage to personal property

  • Injuries resulting from misuse of equipment or failure to follow guidance

Members are advised not to leave valuables unattended.


9. Photography, Video & Media

9.1 Bridge the Gap may capture photography or video content within the Facilities for:

  • Marketing

  • Social media

  • Promotional materials

9.2 By accepting these Terms, you consent to reasonable use of such media unless you notify Bridge the Gap in writing.


10. Data Protection

10.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

10.2 Member information will only be used for:

  • Membership administration

  • Communication

  • Safety and operational purposes


11. Your Bridge the Gap Career (Loyalty Programme)

11.1 Bridge the Gap may operate a member loyalty and recognition programme known as the Your Bridge the Gap Career (“Rewards Scheme”), designed to recognise consistent membership, loyalty, and long-term commitment.

11.2 The Rewards Scheme is based on the completion of consecutive months of active membership supported by successful recurring membership payments. Rewards are activated only once the relevant qualifying payment has been successfully received.

Membership Status Levels

11.3 Members progress through the following status levels:

  • Rookie – From joining date up to completion of the first 3 months of membership
  • Starter – Activated after completing 3 full months of membership and following receipt of the 4th successful payment
  • MVP – Activated after completing 6 full months of membership and following receipt of the 7th successful payment
  • Allstar – Activated after completing 12 full months of membership and following receipt of the 13th successful payment

11.4 For clarity, status progression is determined by both elapsed membership duration and successful payment collection. Failed, missed, refunded, reversed, or overdue payments may delay progression and reward activation.

Rewards & Benefits

11.5 Upon reaching each applicable status, members may receive the following rewards:

Starter Reward

  • One £10 Bridge the Gap account credit
  • Credit may be used against eligible Bridge the Gap services or bookings (Combo deals are excluded)
  • Credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and has no cash value
  • Credit must be used within 30 days of activation or it will expire automatically

MVP Reward

  • One complimentary 30-minute Dr. Dish shooting machine booking
  • Subject to availability and booking procedures
  • Must be booked and used within 30 days of activation
  • No cash alternative or transfer permitted

Allstar Reward

  • One complimentary 45-minute private coaching session with Coach Maitland
  • Subject to Coach Maitland’s availability
  • Must be booked and used within 30 days of activation, unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Non-transferable with no cash alternative

Eligibility Conditions

11.6 Rewards are available only to members with an active account in good standing at the time of activation and redemption.

11.7 Members whose accounts are suspended, cancelled, overdue, or otherwise in breach of membership terms may have rewards delayed, withheld, or cancelled.

11.8 If a membership is cancelled and later restarted, Bridge the Gap reserves the right to reset membership tenure and rewards progression unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

11.9 Rewards cannot be combined with other offers, discounts, or promotional campaigns unless expressly stated.

General Terms

11.10 Rewards are personal to the member and may not be sold, assigned, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

11.11 Bridge the Gap reserves the right to substitute any reward with an alternative of equal or greater reasonable value where necessary.

11.12 Bridge the Gap may amend, suspend, or withdraw the Rewards Scheme at any time. Any reward already activated before such change will remain valid for its stated redemption period unless operational or legal reasons require otherwise.

12. Amendments to Terms

11.1 Bridge the Gap reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

11.2 Members will be notified of material changes, and continued use of the Membership constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
